Prebuild Kits

This is the kit to order to provide the basic materials to construct your Prebuild models for regional, invitational, state, and national competitions. Prebuild Kits for the 2012 Competition will be available on September 1, 2011 for $20 plus shipping & handling. Kits are provided at cost. A small portion of this cost is used to support Regional Onsite kits. Most of the cost of the Onsite competition kits is donated by the MSOE Center for BioMolecular Modeling. See Underwriting below.

Shipping & Handling

All Science Olympiad Kits will be shipped via UPS Ground this year for $12.00 for the first kit to a school or business in the continental US. An additional UPS fee of $2.68 applies to home deliveries. Fees for multiple kits will vary according to quantity, weight, and box size. Ground shipping takes 3-5 business days starting the day after the order is shipped. Most orders are shipped within 24 hours of order receipt.

US Post Office shipping was problematic last year and resulted in many lost and delayed kits. UPS shipping will provide a tracking number, will guarantee on-time deliveries, and will replace lost or damaged shipments.

Regional & State Onsite Kits

Regional & State Onsite Kits can be ordered free of charge through the MSOE Center for BioMolecular Modeling beginning on September 1, 2011.

Invitational Onsite Kits

For Invitational Directors Only - Invitational Kits for the 2012 competition will be available for purchase on September 1, 2011. Orders for 10 or more kits will include the Test Materials (plaster judging models and CD with exam and rubrics) at no additional charge. Please contact us for a quote on orders for less than 10 with the Test Materials.

Please place your Invitational Onsite order at least two weeks before you need to receive your order. 3DMD will not have kits in inventory.

For teams competing in Invitational Tournaments – contact your tournament director for specific instructions. To preserve the integrity of the competition, 3DMD may only sell the Invitational Onsite Kits to Tournament Directors.
